Let's get started on Creating an Action Plan to Rebuild Your Self-Esteem. Why do
I say an Action Plan and not just a Plan?
Using the word action is laying the groundwork for getting past the planning
stage and starting of with an action.
Listen we make plan's to do things all the time but do we always put them into
action? Sadly more times than not the answer is no. I am a big believer in
writing down my goals it is what I attribute to helping me with my Self-Esteem
issues. Writing down your goals is fine but creating an action plan is also
defining the steps to achieving your goals.
The reasons for your low self-esteem could be many things how you were raised,
events in your life where you got harshly treated, not being happy with your
appearance too fat too skinny etc. Only you know what your issues are and where
you need to improve.
Okay lets Create an action plan to rebuild your self-esteem
1) Define what most causes you to have this low opinion of yourself. What is it
right Now that you need or want to change?
Let's write it down. The example I'll use is what I started with using the words
I Can't Do It constantly. I can take you back to when I was a kid (I turned 50
last year) and remember constantly thinking I can't do it.
My approach to any situation from a kid into adulthood always seemed to be I
can't instead of I Can. So when I decided enough was enough because I was
missing out on so much I knew those words and thought's had to go.
2) Start an Action - I wanted to change my mindset from I can't to I can so what
did I do? The main reason I discovered about myself was that I was always
uncomfortable around people a social phobia. Which I believe always gave me this
feeling of self doubt. So what was my Action put myself right out front in
anything I did. My job salesman dealing with people all day everyday.
It's meeting head on what the cause of your low self esteem is.
I was terrible at small talk always known as the quiet one that never talked (If
I had a dime for everytime someone asked me why I never Talked I would be a very
rich man today).
Now when creating an action it does not have to be a major step all at once.
Take baby steps to your goal if that's what you are more comfortable with. In my
example taking that kind of job was a mojor change for someone who always stayed
in the back of the room. You can take a smaller step in my example a smaller
step might have been doing some volunteer activity from time to time and build
up from there.
The point is without taking some kind of action a plan is worthless. It has no
more value than the paper it's written on.
3) Pat yourself on the back for even the smallest Action. Every step you take is
a success reward yourself. Do something just for you it goes along way.
Create an Action Plan to Rebuild Your Self-Esteem
Remember action creates reaction when your family, friends, co workers whomever
see's the new you the positive feed back will amaze you. I know it did for me.
So why are you still here it's time for ACTION
